On May 19, 2020, RA&A organized an inaugural virtual event for the New York Forum Institute (NYF-Institute). This series of high-level virtual roundtable discussions between African leaders and international experts provided an opportunity to explore new frameworks for international cooperation to overcome the COVID-19 crisis and a call to action for our future. Five Africa Heads of State including H.E. Macky Sall and H.E. Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta took part in this virtual event from their respective countries for the first time, to discuss, among other topics, the debt and Africa’s reaction to the new pandemic. The event, “Resilient World: An African Call for a New World Order” was viewed live by over 15,000 worldwide.
