Held at Rabat’s Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on August 19, 2019, the African Games Opening Ceremony centered around frescos celebrating peace and tolerance, symbolizing the diversity of Morocco, and its artistic and cultural wealth. Featuring hundreds of performers, a drone show and fireworks, the ceremony was punctuated by a parade of the African Games athletes representing the 54 countries.
