Bloomberg New Economy Forum

Singapore (2018), Beijing (2019), Singapore (2021, 2022)

The inaugural Bloomberg New Economy Forum took place in Singapore in November 2018, hosted by Michael Bloomberg, and most recently convened in Singapore in November 2022. This new community of world leaders and global CEOs comes together to seek private sector-led solutions to address the emerging risks, opportunities and challenges created by a world economy in transition.

In 2019, the New Economy Forum was hosted for the first and only time in Beijing. More than 500 of the world’s most influential business executives, technology innovators, government officials and academics gathered for an unprecedented open exchange of ideas on the global economic transitions now underway. High-level attendees included Dr. Henry Kissinger, Hank Paulson, Bill Gates, Eric Schmidt, and Wang Qishan, the Vice President of China.

Following the pandemic, the Bloomberg New Economy Forum returned to Singapore in November 2021 and facilitated face-to-face discussions among world leaders in plenary sessions and intimate breakouts. This first major post-COP26 gathering included Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Secretary Gina Raimondo, David Solomon, Shou Zi Chew, Secretary Hillary Clinton, Ritesh Agarwal, Sara Menker, Dan Schulman, Hon. Chair Dr. Henry A. Kissinger and Chair Hank Paulson as attending delegates.
